site.btaSofia University to Host European Association of Biblical Studies Conference

The Sofia University will host an international conference of the European Association of Biblical Studies from July 15 to 18, the university said.

Over three days, there will be over twenty scientific panels in which over 300 scholars from Europe and other continents will participate, and about seventy students. There will also be three plenary papers by distinguished researchers from the UK, Italy and Bulgaria, as well as three special sessions, additionally organized by Sofia University as host of the event.

Parallel events, including three exhibitions, will also be organized.

Some of the most renowned publishers of scientific literature, such as Brill, Abner and the Sofia University Press, will set up their stands in the Rector's Office during the conference. Special visits to cultural and historical sites in Sofia and in the country are organized.

A press conference with the participation of Sofia University Rector Georgi Valchev and members of the organizing committee, is scheduled for July 10 at BTA Press Club.
