The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office charged and detained for up to 72 hours Teodor Il., 21. He was found to have entered the information systems of banks, insurers and other companies by copying and using information from their databases. This took place between March 2020 and January 2024.

On June 28, investigators from the Cybercrime department of the National Investigation Service, in cooperation with the Directorate for Combatting Organized Crime, searched more than twenty addresses, after which Teodor Il. was detained. He would present himself on the Internet under the pseudonym "Emil Kyulev". In the course of the operation, computer equipment was seized, which the detainee tried to destroy.

After interrogations of witnesses, he has been charged and a prosecutor will request permanent arrest.
