site.btaDeputy Prime Minister Petkova Appointed National Council for Prevention and Protection against Domestic Violence Chair

The caretaker Government appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova as National Council for Prevention and Protection against Domestic Violence Chair here on Friday. In order to underline the public commitment of the State to the problems of domestic violence and to ensure effective interaction between the competent authorities, the National Council will be chaired by a Deputy Prime Minister.

By another Government decision, Petkova was appointed Council of Ministers' National Council for Cooperation on Ethnic and Integration Issues Chair.

Petkova was also appointed Chair of the Central Commission for Combating Juvenile Delinquency under the Council of Ministers, Chairperson of the National Commission for Combating Human Trafficking under the Council of Ministers, and Chairperson of the Council for Civil Society Development.
