site.btaEnvironment Minister Popov: We Have Adopted Methodology Which Makes Building on Dunes Impossible

The Environment Ministry has adopted an internationally accepted and scientifically sound methodology that will protect all dunes, outgoing Minister of Environment and Water Julian Popov told the Bulgarian National Television on Saturday. It will not be possible to build on the dunes at all, he added.

In connection with the approaching summer season, the outgoing Minister warned citizens not to place their caravans on the dunes.

Popov described the work of his Ministry in the last 10 months as "extremely dynamic". Many things have been done, he noted.

He also commented on the nominated caretaker environment minister Petar Dimitrov. "We are working with him very actively. He is my first Deputy Minister. There will be no deviation in any degree in the Ministry," Popov said.
