site.btaBulgaria to Provide Humanitarian Aid to Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, Egyptian Red Crescent for Gaza Civil Population

At its meeting on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers approved the provision of BGN 391,168 in humanitarian aid to the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation and the Egyptian Red Crescent in support of the Gaza Strip's civil population. The resources, amounting to EUR 200,000, will be distributed equally among the two organisations.

The necessary funding will be provided under the Foreign Ministry's budget. The resources will support the two organisations' activity, which is of key importance in the current grave humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, the Government Information Service said.

Bulgaria has been consistent in the aid provided for the overcoming of the situation in the Gaza Strip since the start of the crisis in October 2023, following Hamas' terrorist attack on Israel. The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry doubled the aid planned for 2023, and the same amount of funding will be provided in 2024, the press release reads.
