site.btaPolice Seize 70 Kg of Marijuana on Trakiya Motorway

Officers of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Stara Zagora have seized 66 packages of marijuana with a total weight of about 70 kilograms from a truck on the Trakiya highway, Chief Commissioner Lazar Hristov told a news briefing on Wednesday. The briefing was also attended by District Prosecutor Dicho Atanasov.

Two men have been detained - the driver of the truck, 52, and a passenger, 51. Both are Bulgarian citizens, one of them has a criminal record.

The inspection of the truck was carried out on a tip from the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime on Tuesday, Commissioner Hristov said.
