Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel will take part in the ministerial forum on cooperation with the Indo-Pacific region, the EU-ASEAN ministerial meeting and the Gymnich informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels on 2-3 February 2024, her ministry's press office said on Friday.
The Ministerial Forum for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific provides an opportunity to discuss common challenges and demonstrate EU unity and commitment to the region. The format contributes to strengthening interregional cooperation in the context of current challenges, the Ministry added.
The EU-ASEAN Ministerial Meetings are a key format for political dialogue between the two organizations. It is envisaged to discuss developments in cooperation and common positions on topical issues on the regional and global agenda.
At the informal meeting in the Gymnich format, a discussion will be held on EU-Africa relations, Ukraine and EU-Turkiye relations.
In the framework of the three forums, Gabriel will also hold a number of bilateral meetings.
