The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has issued a yellow alert (the lowest of three levels) for ice on surfaces in four regions in Northeastern Bulgaria on Monday. The warning applies to the regions of Dobrich, Razgrad, Shumen and Silistra, shows a map published on the NIMH website.

For Tuesday, the NIMH has issued a yellow alert for low temperatures nationwide and strong north-northeasterly wind in the east of the country, with gusts reaching a speed of 20 metres per second.

It will remain cloudy on Tuesday but the rain will stop by the afternoon. Temperatures will go further down as moderate wind (strong in the east) blows from the north-northeast. Highs will be between minus 5 C and 0 C in most of the country, according to the NIMH's weekly weather forecast.
