site.btaAudit Office Publishes Financial Reports of Mayoral, Councillor Candidates in October 29 Local Elections

 
The National Audit Office on Wednesday published the reports of candidates for mayors and municipal councillors in connection with their revenues, expenditures and debts made in the campaign for the October 29 2023 local elections. 

Some 636 candidates filed their reports within the statutory period and six after it expired. 
Eight candidates failed to submit a report. 

In compliance with the Election Code the National Audit Office has published information provided by media outlets, polling and PR agencies for the services they provided to candidates. 

The Audit Office has launched two audits for matching between declared revenues and expenditures in cases where they exceed BGN 1,000. 
The summarized data about donations to candidates in the elections are as follow: 

Total number of donations by physical persons: 1,154 
Total amount of monetary donations: BGN 2,304,770.73  
Total worth of non-monetary donations: BGN 43, 965.64 
Total number of provided funds by candidates and members of nomination committees: 1,864 
Total amount of provided funds: BGN 2, 088, 632.69 
Total amount of provided non-monetary funds: BGN 486, 102.05
