"During the negotiations we will seek a solution that satisfies the demands of both sides and that preserves the dignity of the country," Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel told BTA commenting on Austria's new stance that it would accept Bulgaria and Romania's accession to Schengen for air travel provided that several conditions are met.

"I think we are in the process of negotiations. I know from my European experience that nothing is agreed until everything is agreed," she said. Gabriel noted that it is a common practice in negotiations to start from much more distant positions until a closer one that would satisfy both sides is reached.
