site.btaInterior Minister Stoyanov Meets with Slovenian Counterpart Poklukar

Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov held a bilateral meeting with his Slovenian counterpart Bostjan Poklukar, the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior reported on Tuesday. Poklukar expressed his country's full support for Bulgaria and Romania joining Schengen. 

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Salzburg Forum in Brdo pri Kranju, Slovenia.

The sides discussed bilateral police cooperation, which they assessed as excellent and expressed readiness to build upon further. They listed as priority areas for cooperation the fight against illegal migration, human trafficking, drug smuggling, and money laundering as well as the prevention and countering of terrorism. Specific operational results were noted.

The sides extended mutual invitations for the organization of an official bilateral visit.
