Five undocumented people claiming to be Syrian citizens were found during a check in Sevlievo. This was confirmed to BTA on Tuesday by the press centre of the Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry in Gabrovo.

During an inspection of a Renault Megan Scenic car driven by a 30-year-old Ukrainian citizen, police found the five citizens, aged between 12 and 24, who identified themselves as Syrians, the police added.

Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case and the Ukrainian citizen was detained.
