Those who are asking the questions are not interested in the answers. They want to broaden their voter base, Defence Minister Todor Tagarev said in a comment on the no-confidence vote. He also told BNR that there is no serious discussion, only political and other suggestions.

The no-confidence motion was tabled on November 8 by BSP for Bulgaria, Vazrazhdane, There Is Such a People and an independent MP over "the government's inability to guarantee the country's national security and defence".

According to the minister, the Euro-Atlantic orientation is the foundation of this government.

The Ministry of Interior did not do its best in guarding the protest in front of the National Stadium a few days ago, the defence minister said, adding that individual police officers exceeded their rights in the clash with the protesters.
