site.btaAhmed Ahmedov Resigns as Deputy Chairman of MRF's Central Council

Ahmed Ahmedov has resigned from the post of deputy chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms' (MRF) Central Council, the party said on its website on Thursday. 

This is the second resignation from a party leadership post in recent days, after its outgoing chairman Mustafa Karadayi stepped down on Tuesday.

Ahmedov has been an MP in seven parliaments. From 2003 to 2014, he was mayor of Tsar Kaloyan Municipality (Northeast Bulgaria). He has been deputy chairman of the MRF since 2016.

Two days ago, Mustafa Karadayi resigned as chairman of the MRF, and the party's operational leadership was taken over by the party's Honorary Chairman Ahmed Dogan.
