site.btaOver 200 Pretrial Proceedings for Election Crimes Launched since August, Prosecution Service Reports

From the start of August to 3 p.m. on November 5, a total of 209 pretrial proceedings for crimes against citizens' political rights were launched and 23 people were charged, the prosecution service said on Sunday. 

A total of 83 pretrial proceedings were launched at the Sofia Appellate Prosecution Office, 49 at the Varna Appellate Prosecution Office, 48 at the Burgas Appellate Prosecution Office, 20 at the Plovdiv Appellate Prosecution Office, and 9 at the Veliko Turnovo Appellate Prosecution Office.

The work continues on other alerts, and pretrial proceedings might be launched on part of them, the prosecuting magistracy noted.
