site.btaGovernment Allocates Over BGN 6 Mln to Finance Activities under 4 National Education Development Programmes

The Government Wednesday allocated BGN 6,224,518 to finance municipalities' activities under four national education development programmes in 2023.

BGN 4,821,119 will be allocated for remuneration of substitute teachers in kindergartens and schools for the period between November 1,2022, and June 30, 2023.

A total of BGN 223,363 will be disbursed under the Together for Children programme, which supports measures targeting all children and pupils who are not enrolled in kindergartens or schools.

Under the Vocational Education and Training National Programme, seven municipal vocational secondary schools and high schools will receive BGN 303,434. The money will cover 65% of the costs for modernization of school facilities.

BGN 876,602 will go for projects under the Support for Children and Pupils’ Personal Development Programme. They will be allocated to 47 children’s centres working in the fields of science, technology, arts, and sports, and astronomical observatories and planetariums, to the National Palace of Children in Sofia and schools for students with sensory impairments.
