A Facebook initiative gathered government supporters in front of the Council of Ministers building. The event was mottoed: "I support the Denkov government". The organizers called on people "not to allow the overthrow of one of the quality and working governments for Bulgaria".
Supporters of the government also gathered in front of the entrance to the Parliament building.
On Thursday afternoon, Vazrazhdane, BSP for Bulgaria and There Is Such a People tabled a motion of no confidence against the Nikolay Denkov Cabinet over the governments' energy sector policy.
