site.btaParliament Establishes Committee for Control over EU Funds Management
On Friday, Parliament set up a permanent committee to oversee the management of EU funds. The decision was adopted by 140 votes in favour, 37 against and three abstentions.
The amendments were tabled by MPs Boyko Borissov (GERB-UDF), Atanas Atanasov (Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria) and Delyan Peevski (MRF).
The new committee replaces the previous subcommittee on EU funds of the committee on the European Union, Schengen and Euro Area.
