site.btaCabinet Proposes Ratifying Amendments to Agreement on Establishment of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

The Cabinet proposed to the National Assembly to ratify amendments to the Agreement on the Establishment of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) adopted on May 18, 2023.

The amendments include a limited number of countries in sub-Saharan Africa, including Iraq, as eligible countries for EBRD financing. Other amendments modernize the Bank's capital management framework, which aims to allow for greater flexibility in managing the Bank's capital.
