site.btaCabinet Approves Additional Budget Expenditure

The Council of Ministers adopted decrees approving additional expenditure:

• on the Ombudsman's 2023 budget;
• on the Ministry of Agriculture and Food's budget for additional transfers to the Agricultural Academy in the amount of BGN 3 million;
• on the Ministry of Health's budget in the amount of BGN 30 million to increase the salaries of Emergency Medical Care Centres staff and Regional Health Inspectorates as of August 1, 2023;
• on municipal budgets in the amount of BGN 4.5 million to compensate for the costs of raising, educating and training children who are not enrolled due to lack of spaces in municipal kindergartens and nursery groups in state and municipal kindergartens;
• on the State Fund Agriculture in the amount of BGN 63 million to support farmers and compensate them for the increased prices of energy, feed, plant protection products, fuel and fertilisers;
• on the Ministry of Tourism's budget in the amount of BGN 6,089,483.15 to ensure the payment to applicants under the Program for humanitarian assistance to displaced persons from Ukraine with granted temporary protection in the Republic of Bulgaria for the accommodation of such persons;
• on the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy's budget in the amount of BGN 60,000 to grant BGN 15,000 one-off aid to support the families of the victims of the flood in the municipality of Tsarevo on September 5 and 6, 2023.
