The conditions for mountain hiking are good, the Mountain Rescue Service told BTA on Thursday morning. The weather will be bright and sunny.

Cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds with scattered thunderous showers in Western Bulgaria in the afternoon, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology. Mild to moderate northwesterly wind. Highs: around 24C at 1,200 m, around 18C at 2,000 m.

The weather is likely to worsen on Friday, the Mountain Rescue Service warned.
