site.btaPM: President and I Must Put Aside Our Differences When Striving for Public Good
Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov commented his relationship with President Rumen Radev during a live Q&A session on Facebook on Thursday. Denkov said that the two undoubtedly do not agree on some matters, however, that should not divide them, when they have to work for the common interests of the Bulgarian people and economy.
Denkov also referenced the conversation he and Radev had on Wednesday during the Match of Hope charity football match in Sofia, saying that it can be viewed as an extended hand. He added: "[...] I have said many times that institutions should work together. I hope very much that the other side has understood this gesture and that these attacks, which are absolutely unfair to the government, will cease".
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel and the President have discussed ambassadorial appointments, including the Bulgarian ambassador to Ukraine, and there has been progress, Denkov said.
