site.btaGERB Will Announce Mayoral Candidates mid-September

"Around September 15 we will be ready to announce our mayoral candidates. Is you are asking me about Burgas, Dimiter Nikolov is the candidate," said GERB leader Boyko Borissov.  The second name was that of the  incumbent mayor of Pomorie Ivan Alexiev. 

Borissov is visiting Burgas to inspect the new national cancer hospital Deva Maria, whose construction began in 2021. 

„Our aim is to reduce the numbers of Bulgarian patients seeking treatment in Turkiye, Germany and in other countries. We have the best Bulgarian doctors," said owner Semir Abumelih. 

Borissov told journalists that the hospital has one of Europe's four latest apparatus for treatment of cancer patients. „It is very important that we succeed in attracting back Bulgarian specialists rom abroad, because many families have been affected by the disease," said Borissov. 

The hospital told BTA that the official unveiling is planned for September 8.
