site.btaPolice Detain 49 Suspected Migrants in Sofia
After a minor road accident between a minibus and a car near Eagles' Bridge in Sofia on Saturday, police apprehended 49 men suspected migrants, the Ministry of Interior told BTA. The driver of the minibus escaped.
The minibus has a foreign licence plate. The men are presumed to be migrants, but their identities are still being determined.
The road accident did not result in any casualties. Sixteen of the arrestees were taken to three different hospitals in Sofia for a checkup.
