Transport and Communications Minister Georgi Gvozdeikov replaced the management of BDZ Holding (Bulgarian State Railways), the press center of the Ministry informed BTA.
Board of Directors Chair Vladimir Dunchev, Executive Director and Board of Directors member Atanas Atanasov, as well as board member Valya Petrova, were released from their positions.
The new appointments are Georgi Drumev, Dimitar Mihailov and Yulia Varadinova-Milkova.
After a meeting of the new board, Julia Varadinova-Milkova was elected as its Chair, and the Georgi Drumev was appointed as Executive Director of the company.
The press center of the Ministry also confirmed that the dismissed management will be paid compensation for not complying with the notice period stipulated in their contracts for the management of the company.
Previously, Georgi Drumev headed BDZ - Freight Transport. Hristiyan Krastev was appointed in his place. The change has already been reflected on the company's website.
