For 76% of Bulgarians, the main sources of news are online, including social media. Facebook remains the most popular, but the popularity of Viber, Telegram and TikTok is increasing, according to the 2023 annual report of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford, Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reported.
