Thousands of students, teachers and parents marched in Ruse on the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture and of Slav Letters - May 24.

The parade was attended by the Municipal Brass Band, drummers from the National School of Arts, the cheerleading squad "Extreme" and the Youth Guard. The participants, divided into two rays, gathered in the central square, where they sang together the national school anthem "Advance, regenerated people".

"This day unites us. This is the most Bulgarian holiday, the warmest and most loved by us. There are very few dates on which we all stand without division next to each other, on which our spirit is united," said Ruse Mayor Pencho Milkov.
