There is a danger that from July 1, 940 school mediators, or half of them, and maybe more, who are working now under the National Programme for Support of Educational Mediators and Social Workers, will be out of a job. It was financed by the state budget, by the Ministry of Education and Science together with other national programmes, but this year it is not included in the list of new national programmes that will be financed. This means that the salaries of the educational mediators are secured until June 30, and from July 1 the schools themselves must find a way to finance their activities, Deyan Kolev, head of the Amalipe Centre, said on Tuesday at a BTA press conference.
