Ombudsman Diana Kovacheva sent a letter to caretaker Energy Minister Rossen Hristov, recommending that household customers of heating companies in residential buildings receive financial support from EU funds. According to her, some 572,000 households have until January 1, 2027 to upgrade the heating and domestic hot water supply installations in their homes with means for sharing heat distribution with remote metering.
