Speaking to reporters in the southern town of Elhovo on Wednesday, caretaker Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev said that the motives of the shooters at the Bulgarian-Turkish border on Monday evening, when a Bulgarian border police officer was shot dead, have become clear. The main lead is criminal activity and not human or drug trafficking, Demerdzhiev said.
