Traffic is intense at some of the border crossing points on the Bulgarian-Romanian border, the Interior Ministry said on its website on Sunday morning. The traffic at the checkpoints Vidin, Durankulak, Kardam and Oryahovo is busy for exiting trucks. The crossing through the joint border crossing points Kainardzha/Lipnitsa and Krushari/Dobromir is carried out according to the agreed working hours from 8 am to 8 pm.

Traffic is normal at all border crossing points with Serbia. Border checks at Kalotina are carried out at eight entry points for cars and at five exit points for cars. Construction and installation works are being carried out at the checkpoint in connection with a reconstruction and modernisation contract. The works require temporary narrowing of the lanes and reorganisation of the traffic of the vehicles passing through. To avoid the heavy traffic, the Ministry of Interior advises travellers to use the other checkpoints on the Bulgarian-Serbian border.

Traffic is also normal at the border crossings with Greece. Travellers are advised to use for crossing, in addition to Kulata and Makaza, the other crossing points on the Bulgarian-Greek border: Ilinden, Zlatograd, Ivaylovgrad and Kapitan Petko Voyvoda. Only cars and minibuses may pass through the border crossing points Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.

Traffic through the crossing points with North Macedonia and Turkiye is normal.
