Over 350,000 foreign tourists visited the Turkish resort of Bodrum in the first half of 2023. Omer Faruk Dengiz, President of the Bodrum Hoteliers Association, said that 4% more foreign tourists arrived in the resort by plane, compared to 2022. There are 45 planes arriving at Bodrum airport from abroad every week.

Some 30,000 tourists arrived in Bodrum by cruise or passenger ships, which is twice the number of tourists, year-on-year comparison. Their number is expected to increase manifold by the end of the 2023 summer season, Dengiz added.

Some 30% of foreign tourists in Bodrum are European citizens - mostly British, Polish and Russian. Bulgarians were the fourth most numerous tourists in the Turkish resort in the first half of 2023.
