The Aviation Museum in Burgas marked April 12 – the International Day of Aviation and Cosmonautics – with a series of events. For most visitors, the highlight turned out to be the tasting of space food, museum representatives told BTA.
Children and their parents had the opportunity to sample a variety of fruits and oat porridges specially prepared for consumption during space missions. As part of the space menu, guests also tasted freeze-dried chicken with rice and couscous.
The celebration continued with space-themed demonstrations, during which young visitors learned more about stars, planets, and galaxies through science experiments involving liquid nitrogen. Guests also had the chance to explore the museum’s ten aircraft exhibits displayed in its open-air section, and to immerse themselves in the history of Bulgarian aviation.
On April 13, the museum will host an art workshop for painting on tote bags. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a mobile planetarium show called Milky Way, and once again, sample space food.
