site.btaYellow Code Warning for Strong Winds across Bulgaria

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has issued a first-degree warning - code yellow - for the whole country on Thursday for strong northwesterly winds gusting up to 24 metres per second.

The weather on Thursday will quickly become cloudy from the north before noon. Around and after noon there will be showers of rain, and in the mountains - snow. Moderate to strong west-northwesterly winds. 

In the evening in eastern Bulgaria, the wind will turn northeasterly and bring in cold air. In northeastern Bulgaria, rain will change to snow and a thin snow cover will form there. 

Highs will be between 9C and 14C, in Sofia - about 10C, the NIMH said.
