A concert by soprano Krassimira Stoyanova and pianist Boryana Lambreva took place at the Dohodno Zdanie in Ruse on Thursday. The event was part of the 64th edition of the March Music Days International Festival.

Stoyanova, who has performed on stages in New York, London, Milan and Vienna, sang Five Poems for Voice and Piano by Gustav Mahler, based on a text by Friedrich Rückert, and opuses from 12 Romances by Sergei Rachmaninoff. She is a violin student at the National School of Arts in Ruse, and specializes in Singing and Music Pedagogy at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv.

She was accompanied on the piano by Boryana Lambreva, who is a professor of chamber singing at the National Academy of Music in Sofia. Lambreva is also a frequent participant in international competitions and a sought-after piano accompaniment for concerts with Bulgarian and foreign performers in Bulgaria, Austria, the UK, Belgium, Italy, France and Russia.

The March Music Days is one of the longest-standing and renowned festivals in Bulgaria. Founded in 1961 and organized annually by Ruse Municipality, the forum turns the Danubian city into a meeting place for elite artists from the global music scene.

BTA is among the main media partners of the festival.
