The European Parliament Liaison Office in Bulgaria (EPLOB) hosts a discussion on "Europe on the Global Scene: Geopolitics and Security" on Friday, March 14. The participants will discuss the paths of Europe and Bulgaria in the new geopolitical situation, with a focus on foreign relations and defence, EPLOB said.

The first panel, dedicated to the EU's foreign policy, will involve MEPs Andrey Kovatchev and Ilhan Kyuchyuk (Renew Europe), the National Assembly's Foreign Policy Committee Chair Yordanka Fandakova and EU Affairs Committee Chair Dimitar Gardev, and European Council on Foreign Relations Deputy Director Vessela Tcherneva.

The second panel, looking at security and defence, will involve MEPs Andrey Novakov (EPP) and Kristian Vigenin (Socialists and Democrats), National Assembly Defence Committee Chair Hristo Gadzhev, Sofia Security Forum President Yordan Bozhilov and The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria Defence Policy Director Velizar Shalamanov.

The discussion will be livestreamed via OEPB's Facebook page and its YouTube channel.
