Heavy traffic for trucks at some of the border crossings with Romania, Serbia, and Turkiye, the General Directorate of Border Police (DGBP) said on its website. The information on border traffic is as at 6 am on Sunday.
At the border with Romania, traffic is heavy at the Kardam, Oryahovo, and Nikopol border control checkpoints for trucks exiting Bulgaria. Due to major repairs of the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse, traffic has been temporarily reorganized. It is in one lane and regulated by a traffic light. In addition to the Ruse border crossing, drivers in the region can also use the border crossing points of Silistra, Kardam, Durankulak, Kainardzha, and Krushari. The last two work from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm every day, but no trucks are allowed through them.
At the border with Serbia, drivers of passenger cars should expect heavy traffic upon entry through the Kalotina border control checkpoint.
At the border with Turkiye, traffic is heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo for trucks exiting Bulgaria. Temporarily, crossing through the Malko Tarnovo checkpoint is carried out on one route due to the reconstruction of the checkpoint.
At the border with Greece, traffic is normal at all border crossing points. Only cars and vans are allowed to pass through the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad border crossings.
At the border with North Macedonia, traffic is normal at all border crossings.
