“I expect that after President Radev returns from France, after the parliamentary groups are constituted, and the National Assembly begins work, the parties will receive an invitation for consultations, as stipulated in the,” said Vice President Iliana Iotova in Sozopol on Saturday.

“Of course, this will be up to the President, but in his latest remarks he also stressed his expectation - that the Parliament should work as soon as possible to "unblock" the procedure,” the Vice President added.

The election of Nataliya Kiselova as Parliament chair is extremely important in order to start not only the procedure for forming a government, but also for voting through the state budget to allay the fears of the municipalities and citizens, because living in this unpredictability is more than difficult, Iotova further said.

“I expect that from now on the parties will first hold consultations with each other,” Iotova stressed. She wished success to the newly elected Parliament chair and said that she expects from her to restore order the National Assembly.

“I don't think we are in a situation where we have to delay the formation of a government because we all need that stability. We need it not only within the country, which is the most important thing, but it is also expected from our partners, especially on view of the general instability in Europe. A stable Bulgaria must have its weight - everyone must understand this,” Iotova said.

In Sozopol, Vice President Iliana Iotova and Mayor Tihomir Yanakiev opened the local Salted Fish Festival.
