Continue the Change (CC) Co-Chair Kiril Petkov proposed six steps to tackle the political situation in the country in a Facebook post on Thursday.

As a first priority he pointed to the need for the 51st National Assembly to start its work as soon as possible, and as a second - to make a law to stop the "stabilization" of acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov at the helm of the prosecution service for the next seven years. The dismissal of the head of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Anton Slavchev, is reiterated by Petkov as an important step. Changing the electoral code to tackle fraud, adopting next year's budget and guaranteeing Bulgaria's eurozone membership are the other steps.

"Let's not allow another caretaker cabinet of [current caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar] Glavchev, the man who is currently following [MRF - New Beginning leader Delyan] Peevski's every command", Petkov urged.

He argued that GERB leader Boyko Borissov "delays in every way the start of the Parliament so no leadership meeting takes place where he admits that he can not separate himself from Peevski". In Petkov's words, by offering himself as prime minister, Borissov is actually offering a "stop offer". "His real goal is to delay the start of Parliament so much that we cannot change the Judiciary Act and stop the appointment of Sarafov," the CC Co-Chair wrote.

"There is no chance to govern with Vazrazhdane," he stressed.
