A collection of short stories, "Maulwurfsblut", ("Blood of a Mole") by Zdravka Evtimova will be presented at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin on November 21, the Institute said.

Jorg Plath of Deutschlandfunk Kultur will be moderator of the event, and the writer will be available for conversation. Actress Jeanette Spassova will read excerpts from the book.

Zdravka Evtimova shares on her Facebook page that the short story collection Maulwurfsblut (Blood of a Mole) was published in June 2024 by eta Publishing House in Berlin (founded by Bulgarian Petya Lund) after winning a competition for funding under the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.

She adds that the collection was compiled by Andreas Tretner, who selected the 22 stories included in the publication from three of her books. Andreas Tretner, Alexander Sitzmann and Elvira Nassonowa worked on the translation from Bulgarian into German.
