The Republic of Korea is one of Bulgaria's most promising partners, Bulgarian caretaker Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov said during a Korea-Bulgaria Energy Forum held at the Hyatt Regency Sofia Hotel on Friday. Malinov said improving this cooperation will benefit both countries in achieving carbon neutrality.

The minister recalled that one of the key outcomes of his visit to Seoul in September was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation in the field of energy.

The successful implementation of the project for the construction of new capacities at the Kozloduy NPP site is of key importance both for Bulgaria and Southeast Europe as a whole, Vladimir Malinov pointed out.

Friday's forum is organized by the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and the South Korean Embassy in Bulgaria.
