The prosecution service Monday published information summarizing the data from all prosecution offices in Bulgaria about the case files and pre-trial proceedings opened since the start of the election campaign a month ago. By 2 p.m. on October 28, the prosecuting magistracy opened 115 pre-trial proceedings and 1,025 case files for infringement on citizens' political rights.

By appellate areas, the number of pre-trial proceedings was the highest in Sofia, 37, followed by Burgas with 32, Varna with 31, Veliko Tarnovo with 9, and Plovdiv with 6 pre-trial proceedings.

Many actions have been taken already as part of the investigations within the proceedings; evidence is being analyzed.
