Bulgarian Ambassador to the Republic of North Macedonia Zhelyazko Radukov met with North Macedonia's European Affairs Minister Orhan Murtezani, the Ministry of European Affairs in Skopje reported Tuesday.

At the meeting, Murtezani expressed hope for successful parliamentary elections in Bulgaria, seeing them as an important step towards a progress in bilateral relations by deepening mutual trust, and underlined "the strong commitment of the government of North Macedonia to the European agenda".

Radukov and Murtezani underscored the importance of strengthening mutual trust and cooperation in the context of the European integration process, "which should be seen as a common strategic priority". The talks also focused on "a commitment to constructive and transparent dialogue to promote good neighbourly relations and address common challenges in a spirit of cooperation and partnership".
