The awards in the Big Small Competition were presented at a ceremony in Sofia on Monday. The event was organized by the 24 Chasa daily for the 10th consecutive year with the support of institutions, businesses and NGOs. The awards promote development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
In an address during the ceremony, Vice President Iliana Iotova said that the istitutions are indebted to small and medium-sized businesses and owe support for the development of entrepreneurship in Bulgaria. She assured entrepreneurs of the support of the President’s administration.
The Vice President presented the award in the social entrepreneurship category to The Balkan Theatre Factory, which puts out theatre productions for children and provide free admissions to disadvantaged children.
“With the Big Small competition you serve a purpose, you make us feel as part of a community in which everyone has dreams and projects, but cannot cope alone,“ said Iotova addressing the organizers of the initiative.
