Bulgarians should come out to vote, including those who live abroad, Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev called from Chicago, the government information service said on Facebook.

This is the way to form a regular government and make the newly elected parliament more representative, Glavchev added in the city, which is home to the largest Bulgarian community in the US.

Glavchev also drew attention to the proposals that the caretaker cabinet made to further increase voters' confidence in the machine vote.

Of visa-free travel to the US, Glavchev said that talks are continuing. The problem at the moment remains the high number of visa refusals, the main reason being wrongly filled in documents. In connection with this, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry is conducting an awareness- campaign. According to Dimitar Glavchev, this will lead to a reduction in the refusal rate and hence to opportunities for implementing this visa-free travel agreement.

Meeting with representatives of the Bulgarian community in Chicago, Glavchev underscored the care for the development of Bulgarian communities abroad as an important priority of the state policy.

The Prime Minister hailed the activity of Bulgarian organizations, Bulgarian schools and the numerous initiatives of the Bulgarian community in Chicago, which contribute to the promotion of the identity and diversity of Bulgarian culture and art. Every Bulgarian, wherever he is, is important to us, Dimitar Glavchev said.
