Five firefighting teams have been dispatched to the Graf Ignatievo Air Base where a military aircraft crashed earlier, the regional Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection here said. 

The Defence Ministry reported a crash of a military L-39 ZA aircraft earlier on Friday. The accident took place in preparation for Saturday's demonstrations. An investigation is underway.

Measures have been taken to contain the fires following the accident and ascertain its causes, the Defence Ministry also said.
