"Apollonia Art Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and we have gathered artists we love. I think they love us too, because they are real artists," Margarita Dimitrova, Executive Director of the Apollonia Art Foundation, said at the opening of the five exhibitions at the Sozopol Art Gallery on Wednesday, which marked the beginning of the 2024 Apollonia Art Festival.
LIK magazine editor-in-chief Georgi Lozanov said that this year's Apollonia programme features only hits.
The rector of the National Academy of Arts prof. Georgi Yankov said that it is already a tradition at Apollonia to show the works of the students who graduate each year. According to him, it is a kind of finale of the events that are exhibited in Sofia and Burgas.
