site.btaCentral Election Commission Launches Public Procurement Procedure for Provision of Voting Machines for October 27 Elections
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has launched a public procurement procedure for the provision of voting machines for the October 27 snap parliamentary elections, according to a CEC decision made public on Tuesday.
The activities include testing of the voting machines and built-in peripherals, including printers and smart card readers; preparation; installation of operating systems and application software; parameterization and kitting of the machines, their technical maintenance on pre-election and election days by voting sections; and provision of a Support Center in case of any problems with the machines. The estimated cost is BGN 6,673,460 pre-VAT and BGN 8,008,152 post-VAT.
The public procurement also provides for the logistics of the voting devices at a cost of some BGN 784,000 excluding VAT and BGN 940,800 including VAT.
The total estimated cost of the public procurement is BGN 7,066,000 excluding VAT or BGN 8,479,200 including VAT.
