site.btaWheat Yield in Dobrich Region Averages 6,690 kg/ha at End of Harvest
The wheat harvest in Dobrich Region (Northeastern Bulgaria) has been completed, with the yield averaging 6,690 kg/ha, the Bulgarian Agriculture and Food Ministry said on Friday.
The highest average yield, 7,500 kg/ha, was registered in Dobrichka Municipality, while the lowest yields, 6,000 kg/ha, were reported in the municipalities of Shabla and Krushari.
At the end of the barley harvest, the average yield was 6,764 kg/ha. In the 2024 farm year, 13.6 ha were put under barley in the region, which was about 50% more than the 6.8 ha in 2023.
Farmers in the General Toshevo and Dobrichka harvested the highest average barley yield, 7,100 kg/ha each, while the lowest barley yield was reported by Krushari Municipality, 6,000 kg/ha.
The rapeseed crop has also been fully harvested, with an average yield of 2,380 kg/ha.
