Bulgarian athletes won two medals at the European Athletics U18 Championships in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. Radina Velichkova won the gold in the 100 m sprint and Hristiyan Kasabov, the bronze at 110 m hurdles.

The 16-year-old Velichkova finished in 11.46, setting a national record for girls and winning Bulgaria's first title in this age group at a European championship.

Shade Laporal from France finished second in 11.54 seconds and Miia Ott from Estonia was third in 11.62 seconds.

Kasabov finished the 110 m hurdles third in 13.47 seconds. The gold went to Kyan Escalona of Italy, who finished in 13.22 seconds, followed by Lucas Domergue in 13.34 seconds.
